Wild & Becoming is the final piece in my Wild series.
This 30x40 original acrylic painting captures the quiet, powerful process of growth. A cluster of bold cactus forms rise together, outlined in black and layered with deep purples, blues, and vibrant bursts of color. Bright red blooms open across the piece, symbolizing transformation, expansion, and stepping into who you are meant to be.

For a long time, I thought becoming meant arriving. I believed I would finally reach a place where I felt healed, certain, and complete.
But life doesn’t work that way.
We are always growing into something new. Some parts of us are blooming, some are still tender, and others are quietly gathering the strength to begin again.
Wild & Becoming holds all of those stages at once. The cactus carries its scars, protects what is tender, and continues creating new growth. It doesn’t wait until everything is perfect before it blooms.
I painted this for the woman in the middle of her own transformation. She is no longer who she was, but she is still discovering who she is becoming.
You do not have to be finished to be worthy of being seen.
You are already becoming.

This painting is about letting go of holding back—of stepping fully into who you are without softening or shrinking. It carries a sense of freedom, movement, and raw expression, where everything is allowed to exist just as it is.

For a long time, I thought belonging meant being who other people needed me to be, following the expected path, and keeping the wilder parts of myself under control.
But there comes a point when you realize you were never meant to live inside someone else’s expectations.
Wild & Untamed is about releasing the need for approval and trusting the voice within you, even when it leads you somewhere unexpected.
I painted this for the woman who is done shrinking herself to fit, ready to follow her own path, and finally free to become exactly who she was meant to be.

But being unbreakable does not mean life has never wounded you. It means the hardest moments did not get the final word.
Wild & Unbreakable is about the strength that grows after disappointment, loss, and change. Like the cactus, we learn how to protect what is tender without closing ourselves off completely. We carry our scars, reach toward the light, and somehow find the courage to bloom again.
I painted this for the woman who has been bent, bruised, and changed by life, but has never stopped becoming more fully herself.

I painted this for the woman who has lived through change, found strength in unexpected places, and finally realized that home was never somewhere she needed to return to. It was something she could find within herself.
