Slightly Concerned

Original Painting | 24" × 30" × 1.5" | Heavy Body Acrylic on Canvas

Slightly Concerned is what happens when you're trying to stay calm... but you're definitely keeping an eye on things.

With one wonderfully worried eye, dramatic pink lips, and an expression that says, "I'm sure it's probably fine...", this expressive fish brings humor, personality, and playful energy to a bold piece of contemporary original art.

Layers of heavy body acrylic paint create rich texture throughout the piece, while turquoise, orange, pink, green, gold, and deep blue dance across the nearly black background. Loose marks, unexpected color, and playful details give the fish a sense of movement,as though it might swim right off the canvas.

Created as a companion to Slightly Unbothered, Slightly Concerned explores the other side of the story. Sometimes we're carefree, and sometimes we're keeping just a little closer watch on things.

Part of The Slightly Series, this colorful original artwork combines expressive brushwork, quirky character, and humor to create a playful statement piece for your space.
