But life doesn't work that way.

We are always growing into something new. Some parts of us are blooming, some are still tender, and others are quietly gathering the strength to begin again.

Wild & Becoming holds all of those stages at once. The cactus carries its scars, protects what is tender, and continues creating new growth. It doesn't wait until everything is perfect before it blooms.

I painted this for the woman in the middle of her own transformation. She is no longer who she was, but she is still discovering who she is becoming.

You do not have to be finished to be worthy of being seen.

You are already becoming.
